The fantastic ViaLattea ski resort (Milky Way) waits for you with some of the best skiing that the Alps have to offer! You can ski the famous competition tracks at Sestriere, Sansicario (World Cup 2004 finals and 2006 Winter Olympics), 10 kms far from us, Sauze d'Oulx, 20 kms far from us. You can also reach Bardonecchia, 30 kms far from us, the paradise of snowboarders.

Cross-Country skiing

If you come to us to relax in our little unspoilt Thuras valley, you can get off our home with cross-country ski on your foot and explore our fantastic natural environment for hours on an easy and enjoying track. In Pragelato, 20 kms far from us (where you can see the awesome ski jump ramps), you'll find 40kms of incomparable beauty of the Val Troncea Natural Park, populated by chamois and deer and wolves. You can arrange cross-country skiing over a variety of different distances for all abilities including World Cup and the 2006 Turin Winter Olympic circuits. Other cross country circuits are available in Sestriere, Prali, Usseaux, and Fenestrelle, in a range of 30 kms from our home.

Snow shoeing

Try walking in snowshoes (ciaspole) on fresh white snow. No experience is needed; this is a winter sport that can be enjoyed by people of all abilities and ages. All equipment needed can be hired locally (in Cesana Torinese or Sestriere) at low cost. You can walk everywhere with snowshoes, even… just out of our doorway!
